About this place
The Gateway Arch rises 630 feet over the Mississippi River in St. Louis and is the tallest monument in the United States. Inside each leg, small egg-shaped tram cars carry visitors up to an observation room at the very top.
From the little windows you look east across the river into Illinois and west over downtown St. Louis. The tram sells out often, so book a time slot in advance.
