About this place
Kennedy Space Center is where America launches to space. At the visitor complex, Space Shuttle Atlantis hangs as if in orbit, the Rocket Garden shows the rockets of the early space race, and astronaut stories come alive in the exhibits.
A bus tour heads out toward the launch area and the Apollo/Saturn V Center, where a full Saturn V moon rocket stretches overhead. Plan a full day; it's about an hour's drive from Orlando.
